Opened in 1931 by King George V sailing in Clyde steamer King George V! Clan Line ships used the west side of the KGV Dock, 'Blue Funnel' ships the east side. US military aircraft were unloaded there in WW2.

My Uncle Hughie was a foreman there in WW2 when they built sections for the Normandy Landing 'Mulberry' Harbours.

What rubbish! Built for the opening of the North Clydeside Electric services ('Blue Trains') in 1960, it unexpectedly had steam services for the 11 months that the Blue Trains were withdrawn for safety modifications after a few weeks.

Glasgow University Wolfson Medical School Building. Built in 2002 as part of an overhaul of medical teaching at the university, this building is where most of the teaching occurs for medical students at the university during their preclinical years. Along with the BHF Cardiovasvular Research building and Glasgow Biomedical Research Centre, (both next door and both built 2006), The Wolfson Medical School forms one point of the "Traingle of Excellence" of medical training and research. Very fancy.

The Northmost group of buildings was originally The Busworks. All the Strathclyde fleet maintenance and rebuilding was carried out here. A large part of what is open yard was originally covered and was the main shop floor including the electrical, welding, blacksmithing and metalwork shop.

Hey guys just a wee reminder that it was a gr8 place and no many people have ever settled outwith the community. Remember the q news and aw the gala days (GALA DRAGONS ASWELL). Gone now but memories will always last as it was fuckin brilliant growing up here. Just dnt get how evey other scheme stayed up apart fae oors. Aw well take care and dnt dwell on the past
