This plant was originally built by Coventry Ordnance Works to supply materials to Clyde Shipbuilders. Later taken over by Harland & Wolff and sed as engine building works in conjuction with their huge Clyde Foundry (Govan), Finnieston Engine Works and Clyde shipyards (Govan, Pointhouse and Meadowside)

Can't disagree more with the comment from Jason.I have used this place for years ,never had food poisoning,nor have i seen a single ant.Fantastic food, great value,quick service and pleasant staff.What more can you ask?

We used to play football in the small half-moon section of playground at the bottom of the image that is in the shadow of trees (our "pitch" was bordered at the top almost exactly by the bottom line of the square that gives the location of school as a place). Don't shed too many tears for our dearth of real estate, however. Another class had to play on the smaller half-moon to the right of ours!
If the ball went on the grass, game over. A certain "Bird" was always watching, ready to pounce and meet out cruel and unusual punishment.

It's Merrylee, not Merrylea.
